DIY PETER PAN COLLAR

Supplies:

very little amount of fabric (great for scraps)

couple feet of ribbon

sewing machine

thread

scissors

pins

iron

Instructions:

1.  draw/trace/cut the collar out of a piece of paper, then out of the fabric.

2. pin right sides together, and sew leaving a little 2″ opening on the top to turn right side out.

3. push the remaining fabric of the whole inside itself.

4. iron down the opening inside and the rest of the collar flat.

5. optional – Topstitch the top of the collar to keep the whole closed.

6. fold the ribbon end inwards.

7. fold the ribbon end in half to conceal the end.

8. Pin and sew the ribbon underneath the ends of the collar.

9. Join the collar pieces together by sewing a zig zag stitch set to satin stitch or button hole, so it is just a straight line sewn back and forth quite a few times.
