DIY Bows Scarf Tutorial
First of all, thank you so much for all of your sweet condolences about my grandmother. You are such sweet friends and I really appreciate it right now. :O)
On a more positive note, I actually used my sewing machine last night! Hooray! Only to sew a few lines, but it was still satisfying. The idea for this scarf popped into my head a few weeks ago, and while at the Dollar Tree the other day I picked up two simple little mustard scarves that were perfect for it. (They also had grey and fushia-tough choice!) It came together in no time, and Paige gasped with delight when I gave it to her. I love it when she loves it. :O)
The instructions are so simple:
sew two scarves together into one long one and trim the tassels from those ends
make approx. 6 even pleats by sewing the scarf to itself creating a loop as pictured
flatten the loops/pleats and tie a ribbon or string around the middle (I tied with yarn and then hot glued two of the tassels I trimmed off around it.)
