Christmas stocking have always been one of my favorite parts of Christmas. Its always so exciting to see whats inside. This Christmas Stocking DIY is a fun and simple way to create personalized festive stockings.

• Coffee Sacks or burlap fabric


• Satin lining fabric


• Scissors


• Pins


• Sewing machine


• Needle and thread


• Faux fur, velvet or rhinestone brooches for embellishing


• Large sheet of paper to make stocking pattern

Who knew that a bottle would serve as a perfect decoration? Well, let's get hands on work because you just need an empty bottle, a drill, safety glasses and gloves, 1/2″ glass drill bit, masking tape and short strand of Christmas lights (with a plug only on one end).

1. Wash and remove all stickers from the bottle (if desired).


2. Place a piece of tape on the area you want to drill, so the drill bit will remain more stable.


3. Put on gloves and glasses and start drilling. Do not make a lot of pressure to not break the glass. Be patient because it takes a little bit!


4. Wash the bottle and let dry.


5. Gradually introduce the Christmas lights through the hole ... and ready to decorate and surprise!

A perfect accessory for the home, and in addition it is also very easy. If you have imagination you can make any shape you want for this picture. The materials you need are as readily available, so put on your job. Enjoy!

I love the way Ralph Lauren always add a modern twist to a classic; he always finds a way to make the old feel new again.  Inspired by his style I made over an old chest of drawers I picked up at a local thrift shop.  Being the very bad blogger that I am, I completely forgot to take a before picture.  You'll have to image what this looked like before.  It was painted a taupe color and had white ceramic knobs with pink flowers on them.  Um, yeah, it wasn't cute.  But you'll just have to take my word on that.  I decided to give this mid century modern chest a classic update, and I'm pretty happy with the end result.


I used a combination of things for this makeover.  I spray painted everything but the drawers in my favorite gold spray paint and used Krylon's Regal Blue for the drawers.  Once dry, I sanded the whole thing down and applied a dark walnut stain over the drawers.

Who would have thought that corn husk can be used to achieve a delightful Mid-Century modern look? To make this wreath, you simply wrap the corn husk in a sunburst manner around a wreath form. Hang and enjoy!

Every couple of months I like to place things in the middle of the kitchen to try and help us visualize what it would look like. The response was always the same...no. Not enough room.

I can't tell you what changed, really, but sometime over the last month with all the entertaining and house guests we've had, I decided we had to have an island. This time there was no talking me out of it.

I had my measurements, which were like 20" deep x 32-46" long, and the search was on.  Unfortunately, I quickly came to realize that finding something in my price range with these odd measurements was not going to be easy. Time to get creative. DIY, anyone?

Add the perfect backdrop to your evergreen ornaments by giving windows an iced look - even if you don't live in a frosty climate. Just coat windows with a holiday decorating spray that's easy to clean off with water.

f you’re like me and can’t stop making Christmas decor even though the big day is around the corner, than this is for you! Cause, it literally takes hardly any time. But looks super cute!

Cut a bunch of circles from your felt. To cut out nice circles-I trace my circle on the papery side of freezer paper, iron it to the felt, then cut them out and peel off the paper. It gives a nice clean edge!

An object that you need to especially now during the holidays. It is an object that you need for Christmas fir tree, because it helps to keep little pine needles fixed on it without wearing them in the house, is easily tight, and very good looking. Certainly many people will appreciate what you did. It is a very practical and very good idea.

You’ve seen these before in catalogs/magazines, right?  I made these little utensil stockings for a church dinner last week and adore how they turned out! They are so festive! I can’t wait to use them for our family dinners in the future, and have Sadie and Charlotte roll their eyes about “mom’s fork stockings”.

You’ll need:

fabric for stocking body (a fat quarter is plenty for a couple of stockings.)

fabric for stocking cuff

ric rac or other trim if desired

 sewing stuff (matching thread, sewing machine, scissors, pinking shears are helpful, etc)

I used vintage book pages to make my pinwheels and I embellished them with {my favorite stuff on earth!} German Glass Glitter.

There is nothing quite as sparkly and vintage-y and lovely as German Glass Glitter.

And it compliments vintage book pages so well!

 The glitter and the tinsel are so sparkly in person.

I will definitely be using this combination again in the future!

A Christmas ornament very nice and very easy. You do not need a lot but you can help what you have around the house. You just need patience and a little imagination. Perfect for your Christmas tree is made even knowing you.

You make these pretty things with a little bit of patience and quite a lot of glue (and it is actually
quite important that you use the quick drying, water based kind). There is a bit of fiddling around
involved in these, but they are worth the effort, I think - and actually very simple.
I made it as easy as I could for you - four different designs on individual sheets to print -
any number you prefer, and remember to print both sides! Each decoration (in my photos) is
made with eight cutout shapes, folded down center. And basically stuck on a string....

For the ladykins, a curtain beside the bed or desk can be absolute necessary. Just take a look of this wonderful curtain, I give it a name: the rain in summer. Every time see this, I can feel a cool wind in the hot season. Now, I will show you the main processes.
