Cranberry Margarita

In honor of Thanksgiving, I got together: the Cranberry Margarita! Aside from the gorgeous, deep red color, this drink has a refreshing tartness that is just the thing for a holiday built around heavy savory foods. We used 100% cranberry juice for that true cranberry pucker. However, if you like things a little sweeter you can either add a little simple syrup (or agave) or you can use sweetened cranberry juice cocktail. Hey, this could even be a job for cran-apple, cran-raspberry, or another cran-juice.

Happy Thanksgiving!cranberrymargarita

DIY Strawberry Soda

DIY Strawberry Soda
(Makes almost 2 cups of syrup)

1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
1 cup water
2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon citric acid
Seltzer

Add strawberries, water, sugar, and citric acid to a saucepan and bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a bare simmer and cook for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Bottle and refrigerate the cooled syrup. For each serving, mix 1 part syrup with 5 parts seltzer, adjusting to your personal taste. Mix syrup and seltzer on a glass-by-glass basis rather than mixing a large batch and storing it.

Note: Citric acid powder, also known as sour salt, is easy to find at many markets. The citric acid is optional but does add tartness to the recipe and extend the shelf life.

Coffee with love!

Denise_Meneghello_GNT-51165-900-500-80-cI'm sure you'll raze:
First one folded cardstock in half and cut half hearted (using my scissors :) Pylones! Then leaned into the cup (knock milk with a mixer to get more foam and mix the coffee) and then sprinkled with cinnamon! SO SIMPLE :)

Mango and lychee mashup

I reckon this needs trying with coconut water in place of the lychee and rum instead of the vodka, too ! A bit like a pina colada remake. All these exotic tastes definitely have me longing for the sun to come out…

Have a wonderful week-end and thanks for stopping by :)

Cynar Cocktail: Red Letter Day
